A new, exciting addition to the 2017 Proudly SA Buy Local Summit and Expo is the SMME Workshop, which will take place on Day One of the two-day event.
The Workshop, which Small Business Minister Lindiwe Zulu has been invited to give the keynote address, is aimed at equipping small to medium enterprises SMMEs with the necessary information, skills and tips to overcome challenges experienced by SMMEs, as well as with tools which can be used to take their business to the next level.
SMMEs participating at the Exhibition on Day Two as well as other interested SMMEs are invited to register for the free-to-attend Workshop which will cover an array of topics including, amongst others:
The red tape around SMME registration, legislation, compliance and certification is often cited as an impediment to the success of many small business who struggle to navigate the complexities of the paperwork required to become a legal entity. The One Stop Shop during Day 1 of the Buy Local Summit & Expo (Wednesday 14th Marc) has been put together expressly to help business owners in this regard.
At the One Stop Shop, representatives from Office of the Tax Ombud, NYDA, UIF, NEF, SARS, CGCSA, THE CORE GROUP, IDC, THE DTI, and CIPC will be on hand to assist with the completion of forms, supplying contact details for relevant departments , dispensing advice and direction to SMMEs. They will available all day, no appointment is required, but delegates are urged to bring with them all company documentation, in order to derive the maximum benefit from the organisations that will be there.
