Zanele Ntsibande is the founder of Lokhule Trading & Projects, a wooden door manufacturing company based in Boksburg, Gauteng. She studied Financial Information Systems through UNISA. From 2000-2007 she worked in the retail, namely in customer service and financial sector. In 2007 Zanele left the workforce and founded Inkdat, a company that specialized in the supply of tonner cartridges. In 2008 she decided to increase her service offering and registered Lokuhle Trading and Projects, supplying all office equipment requirements.
In 2012 the company evolved and started manufacturing wooden doors. In 2012 she became a partner in the Massmart Supplier Development Programme and now supplies hollow-core doors to Builders stores and will be supplying pine doors too. Ntsibande says: “Access to market is one of the biggest challenges for small businesses and through this programme I have been able to get a foot in the door at one of the biggest retailers on the continent.”
